Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our machines, services, spare parts, and switching from European OEMs.
General Questions
We serve four core industries: Tobacco (cigarette making and packaging machines capable of up to 5,000 cigarettes/min), Pharmaceuticals (blister packaging and cartoning lines), Consumer Goods (soap and detergent wrapping at speeds up to 350 packs/min), and custom special-purpose machines for unique industrial requirements. All our machines are designed and manufactured at our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in India.
MOI Engineering operates globally with clients in over 50 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. We maintain regional service partnerships to ensure fast spare parts delivery and on-site support. Use our Distributor Locator or contact us directly at +91-75084-99499 to find your nearest representative.
Yes, custom engineering is one of our core strengths. Our in-house design team uses CAD/CAM and simulation tools to develop bespoke solutions for wrapping, packaging, or special-purpose applications. Typical custom projects take 8–16 weeks from design approval to delivery. We work closely with your production team to ensure seamless integration with your existing line.
Yes, MOI Engineering is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Every machine undergoes rigorous quality control and factory acceptance testing (FAT) before shipment. Our quality management system covers design, manufacturing, installation, and after-sales service — ensuring consistent performance across all our products.
Product Questions
We manufacture a comprehensive range of high-speed wrapping and packaging machines: the WRAPID-350 (up to 350 packs/min for FMCG overwrapping), GPW III and GPW-III(S) (cellophane and polypropylene wrapping), CW-11 (compact cellophane wrapper), FW 200S (flow wrapping), SWIFT-VX (high-speed soap wrapping), and TSW 160 (multi-format soap/bar wrapper). Each machine is built for 24/7 industrial operation.
Yes, integration is a key design principle. Our machines support standard industrial communication protocols and can be configured to match your existing line speeds, conveyor heights, and control systems. We provide detailed integration drawings during the quotation stage and our engineers handle commissioning on-site to ensure zero-disruption cutover.
Yes — we are one of the leading suppliers of MOLINS-compatible spare parts worldwide. Our inventory includes rollers, belts, sensors, gears, cams, and custom-manufactured precision components for the full range of MOLINS cigarette-making and packaging machines. Most standard parts ship within 48–72 hours from our warehouse, minimizing your production downtime.
Our cigarette making range includes the MK9 (up to 5,000 cigarettes/min — our highest-speed maker), MK8D and MK8SM (versatile mid-range makers), and the PA 7RO rod-forming machine. For packaging, we offer the HLP1 and HLP2 (hinge-lid packers) and the M2 10's Duplex packer. All machines are compatible with MOLINS tooling and wear parts.
Switching from European OEMs
Our machines are typically 40–60% more cost-effective than equivalent European OEM equipment, without compromising on build quality or production speeds. We achieve this through our India-based manufacturing, lean operations, and in-house component production. Many of our clients have switched from Hauni, GD, and Focke with significant capex savings and comparable or better uptime.
Yes. Our machines are designed to integrate with existing Hauni, GD, and MOLINS production lines. We match standard interface specifications — mechanical, electrical, and control — so you can introduce MOI machines into your line without replacing upstream or downstream equipment. We provide full integration support during installation.
Absolutely. Our ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility uses precision CNC machining, hardened tool steels, and the same grade of components used by European OEMs. Every machine undergoes factory acceptance testing (FAT) before shipment. We have clients running MOI machines 24/7 in 50+ countries with the same reliability and output quality they previously achieved with European equipment.
Clients who have transitioned from European OEMs consistently report 40–60% lower acquisition costs, equivalent production speeds and output quality, faster spare parts delivery (48–72 hours vs. weeks), and more responsive technical support. We are happy to connect you with reference clients in your region who have made the switch.
Service & Support
Our repair services cover full diagnostics, replacement of damaged or worn components, precision recalibration, and production-speed testing to restore optimal machine performance. We service MOI machines, MOLINS equipment, and other industrial packaging machinery. Typical turnaround for standard repairs is 5–10 working days; emergency repairs are prioritized within 48 hours.
AMCs include scheduled preventive maintenance visits (quarterly or bi-annual), priority emergency support with guaranteed response times, discounted spare parts pricing (up to 15% off list price), and detailed machine health reports. AMCs are designed to extend equipment lifespan by 30–40% and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime by up to 70%.
Yes. Every machine purchase includes on-site installation by our factory-trained engineers, operator training (typically 3–5 days depending on machine complexity), and a 30-day post-installation support window. We also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance manuals. Additional advanced training programs are available on request.
Standard MOLINS-compatible parts and common MOI machine spares ship within 48–72 hours from our warehouse. For less common components, typical lead time is 1–2 weeks. AMC customers receive priority fulfillment and discounted pricing. We maintain one of the largest MOLINS spare parts inventories in Asia.
